Zatarain’s Fish Fri Crispy Southern Seafood breading mix is the secret to crispy and delicious Southern-style fried fish. This perfectly seasoned seafood breading is made with yellow corn meal, spices, savory garlic, onion and real lemon. Crispy Southern Fish Fri is all you need to prepare an authentic Louisiana fish fry. Simply roll or shake fish in the breading mix, then cook as desired- fry in a deep fryer, pan fry in a skillet or bake in the oven- until the crust is light golden brown and the fish is moist and tender on the inside. Great for tilapia, catfish or shrimp cakes. For a heartier coating, moisten the fish first in a milk-and-egg mixture. Or, for bold New Orleans flavor, coat with Zatarain’s Creole Mustard before rolling in the Fish Fri.

Ingredients
Enriched Yellow Corn Meal (corn Meal, Iron, Niacin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Salt, Spices (including Red Pepper), Natural Flavor, Monosodium Glutamate (flavor Enhancer), Garlic, Onion, And Lemon Juice Concentrate.

Directions
PAN FRYING: 1. Pour 1 inch of vegetable oil into large skillet. Heat oil to 350degF on medium heat. Rinse fish in cold water. Drain. 2. Prepare as directed above. BAKING DIRECTIONS: 1. Brush 1 lb. fish fillets on both sides with oil. Pour Fish Fri onto plate. Roll fish in Fish Fri until evenly coated. Discard any remaining Fish Fri mixture on plate. 2. Place fish on shallow baking pan sprayed with no stick cooking spray. Spray top of fish with cooking spray. 3. Bake in preheated 450degF oven 15 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork. DEEP FRYING: 1. Fill deep fryer no more than 1/3 full with oil. Heat oil to 350degF on medium heat. 2. Pour Zatarain’s Crispy Southern Fish Fri onto plate or into plastic bag. Use 1/2 cup Fish Fri per 1 lb fish. Roll or shake fish in Fish Fri until evenly coated. Discard any remaining Fish Fri mixture on plate or in plastic bag. 3. Fry fish, a few pieces at a time, in hot oil until light golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Note: For thicker coating, dip fish in 1/2 cup milk mixed with 1 lightly beaten egg, before rolling in Fish Fri.
